There were 2 pennies issues from the United States Mint in 1923. 1 was minted in Philadelphia, and the other in San Francisco. The one from San Francisco has an S mint mark under the date. The one from Philadelphia has no mint mark at all. So the one you have uploaded a photo of is was minted in Philadelphia. These coins are worth between .75 cents and $450, but the condition of the coin and the color of the coin are what make them valuable in general. Will post more in a second. Thanks for sharing!

In terms of color, the most coveted is the RD or RED. Yours appears to be more of a BN (Brown) color. The next thing you want to examine is the coins grade. It appears this coin is rather worn down. Our guess is that this penny is only worth about a dollar or so. While thats 100x more than the coins face value, this coin in better condition could be worth much much more.
