Design
The reverse of this coin was a design concept created by Donna Weaver and engraved by Charles L. Vickers, and implemented by the United States Mint.
Crossroads of America is listed on the quarter as the state Indiana is centrally located
The 13 stars featured in a partial circle also on the reverse represent the original 13 colonies, and the 6 stars symbolize the 6 states that joined the colonies shortly thereafter.
The racecar is meant to represent the Indianapolis 500 race (NASCAR).
