The 2014 Great Smoky Mountains rendition of the America the Beautiful Quarter are some of the more popular in the series. While the obverse / front has the standard George Washington Bust present the reverse is the most distinguishable face.
Having spent a good deal of time exploring the Great Smoky Mountains the image of the cabin on the reverse instantly reminded us of the historic cabin located on the Roaring Fork Motor Trail just outside of Gatlinburg TN. In the sky a Hawk circles looking for prey. The cabin itself sits just at the edge of a lush forest.
There are several specific variations to be aware of with these coins, they are.

- 2014 P 5oz Silver Bullion 99.9% pure
- 2014 D Standard Issue
- 2014 S Standard Issue (rare)
- 2014 S Non-Silver Proof Issue
- 2014 S 90% Silver Proof Issue
All in all there are 6 known variations with some errors known to exist as well.
