Notes: The 2022 S Lincoln Cent is a proof, and first strike versions are selling for up to $150 at online auctions. Just 800 thousand of these were minted.


Being relatively new the 2022 Shield Cent is readily available in many of the higher ranges of mint state. MS66, MS67, and sometimes MS68 are all relatively affordable. As always look for the RD designation. A RD 2022 Shield Penny with be worth about 20 to 30% more than one that is RB (Red Brown), and a RB will be worth more than a Brown (BN).
