mdlindberg1229gmail.com : Could anyone please explain to me the process of selling my coins. Getting them graded and authenticated and where. Approved: February 6, 2024 2:16 pm

Admin: @mdlindberg1229 Here is a super quick summary. Not all coins should be graded and authenticated. If the coin is a.) valuable in general due to rarity and age b.) some strange error that increases the coins value or c.) in amazing pristine condition much better than all the other coins in the same year and type. Then you may want to consider sending your coin off to have it graded.

We suggest grading by either PCGS or NGC you can google their names and get their websites. You can contact them directly for rates and estimates on what time frame you might expect to get your coin back. Grading and slabbing a coin will preserve and beyond a doubt give the coin a truly subjective grade, that people cannot argue over.

Now where to sell your coin? You can contact large auction houses, sell on ebay, or speak with a coin dealer. All of these options are going to try and make money off of your, but this is their job. Hope that helps! Approved: February 6, 2024 7:11 am

How much is a 1924 Wheat Penny worth?

In Average Circulated (AC) condition it's worth around $4.00, one in certified mint state (MS+) condition could bring as much as $650 at auction. This price does not reference any standard coin grading scale. So when we say Average Circulated, we mean in a similar condition to other coins circulated in 1924, and mint state meaning it is certified MS+ by one of the top coin grading companies. *** [?].
