Notes: The stats listed in the details above are for the non silver proof version of this coin. The Mississippi state quarter was engraved by Donna Weaver who also did the other state quarters before and after this release. It was issued October 15th 2002 to the public. The reverse or back of the coin has the words The Magnolia State, as well as 2 flowers (Magnolia Blossoms the State Flower). I would have expected it to have the Mighty Mississippi or something like that but they just went with flowers. :)
How much is a 2002 S Mississippi State Quarter Proof worth?
This section is more of a layman's guide, for those new to collecting.
In Average Circulated (AC) condition it's worth around 25 cents, one in certified mint state (MS+) condition could bring as much as $6 at auction. This price does not reference any standard coin grading scale. So when we say Average Circulated, we mean in a similar condition to other coins circulated in 2002, and mint state meaning it is certified MS+ by one of the top coin grading companies. *** [?].
