Notes:

Being relatively new the 2023 D Shield Cent is readily available in many of the higher ranges of mint state. MS66, MS67, and sometimes MS68 are all relatively affordable. As always look for the RD designation. A RD 2023 Shield Penny with be worth about 20 to 30% more than one that is RB (Red Brown), and a RB will be worth more than a Brown (BN).

How much is a 2023 D Penny worth?

In Average Circulated (AC) condition it's worth around 1 cent, one in certified mint state (MS+) condition could bring as much as $1 at auction. This price does not reference any standard coin grading scale. So when we say Average Circulated, we mean in a similar condition to other coins circulated in 2023, and mint state meaning it is certified MS+ by one of the top coin grading companies. *** [?].
