Notes: Four different pennies were created and issued for the bicentennial and centennial for the Lincoln cent. The Birth and Early Childhood coin with the dates 1809-1806 was one of these. The front or obverse of the coin has the words "In GOD We Trust", and the date 2009. The reverse or back of the coin has the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", "ONE CENT". The front was designed by Victor David Brenner. These coins were released into general circulation.
