Notes: The mercury dime was issued at 2 mints in 1930 (the San Francisco and the Philadelphia), the San Fran mint is the rarest making up just 1/3 of the total dimes minted. The mercury dime was actually named the "Winged Liberty Dime", but its strong resemblance to Mercury the Messenger to the gods is what 95% of the people call it. :) There were "NO" dimes issued at the Denver mint as you would have expected. So D dimes in this year are fakes. When buying or selling Mercury Dimes full bands are key.

How much is a 1930 S Mercury Dime worth?
In Average Circulated (AC) condition it's worth around $3.00, one in certified mint state (MS+) condition could bring as much as $180 at auction. This price does not reference any standard coin grading scale. So when we say Average Circulated, we mean in a similar condition to other coins circulated in 1930, and mint state meaning it is certified MS+ by one of the top coin grading companies. *** [?].
